So what makes a great wedding photographer
(or Tog as they’re known in the biz)?!
If you ask a celebrant, they’ll usually say it’s someone with a great attitude, flexibility, patience and devoid of princess vibes!
I’m not into togs that get up amongst the ceremony, pointing their cameras as you exchange rings, that’s what lenses’ are for!
A great photographer - in my opinion, is there where you need them, but mostly unseen and discrete in their work.
So here’s a list of my absolute favourite Wedding Photographers in Melbourne and Victoria.
All a dream to work with, respect the sacredness of a ceremony and produce winning shots to boot!

What I love most about Leo is that he somehow makes you feel special and deserving of being in front of the lens…

I first worked with Kyra when I’d actually hung up the mic for the day and was acting as a bridesmaid for one of my besties… so I REALLY got to experience how in control she is, whilst keeping everyone calm with a sense of fun.
I was surprised with how unsure of myself I felt in a different role to normal, and Kyra put me completely at ease.
Her photo album was enough to make people weep…
The thing I adore about working with this bloke is he somehow makes you feel like a rock star, yet remains practically invisible while you do your thing.
I’ve literally stood and chatted with Oli and he’s still managed to take award-winning shots of your peeps without skipping a beat.
You’ll love having Oli in your life, even if it’s just for a day!
Briggsy is brilliant at his craft, but he’s also got the energy of an exited puppy and swears like sailor (which is one of the many reasons I love him!)
He’s fun on steroids and his photos will absolutely blow you away… trust me!
When Nathan shot Hannah and Tim’s wedding, I knew his photos were going to be absolutely killer.
After all, they were one of the coolest couples I’d ever worked with, so I knew they’d have taste in togs as well.
I’ve gotta tell, you, his album did NOT disappoint!
Jackson is always smiling… or so it seems.
He’s fun, quirky, open to whatever wacky ideas you might have and will likely rock up to your wedding in mustard socks and sandals.
But his photos… sheesh. To die for!
The couple of weddings that I’ve worked with this babe have been hilarious, manic and had to relocate 1/2 way through due to sudden and ferocious rain and she’s adapted beautifully to all the challenges.
It’s great knowing your photographer has your back and will be where she needs to be for the moments that really count!

The thing I love about Alan is that he calls himself a photojournalist and he lives by the name.
You won’t see him, but you’l love what he captures; warts and all.
I love his behind-the-scenes shots as much as what goes on up front.
So there’s my absolute faves.
