So…. you’re getting married, or having a party… or perhaps you’re looking for somewhere out of the ordinary to farewell a loved one?
Whatever your needs, I’ve got your covered with this non-financially-biased, completely subjective *list of faves… after all, it’s not my first rodeo; I’ve seen a few!
Rather than waffle on, let’s dive in, starting with the closest to (my) home and moving out.
*I couldn’t seem to stop at 10… but who’s counting? I’m a celebrant not an actuary!

There’s glorious green fields, a funky lake, an intriguing conservatory, massive fig trees for shelter, hedges that look like you’re marrying in Alice in Wonderland and the ever-popular Rose Garden, which is where most couples choose to do it.
Plus, I get to be your very own #cyclingcelebrant with a funky bike for a signing table! Boom shaker!

Staff are fabulous, especially Dan the functions manager and don’t get me started on the food.

Seriously, it’s the best of both worlds and considering Melbourne’s unpredictable weather, you need to keep your options open!

Super-chilled, fun and with the sweet smell of salty air washing over the proceedings… without having to deal with the pain-in-the-arseness of heals on sand!

I don’t need to say much about this place.. if you’re not familiar with the boathouse and surrounds, grab a picnic and get yourself down there asap!
The boathouse rocks and the platform over-looking the Yarra where you do the deed is simply photo-perfect!

Another little oasis in the industrial lots, what a transformation of reality as soon as you step inside!

But Gum Gully’s totally worth it!
This place has the best staff I’ve ever worked with, roaring fireplaces in winter and friendly deers that love nothing more than a selfie!

This place is hidden in the northern burbs, like a sweet oasis.
It’s quite incredible when you come across it for the first time, with it’s sweeping views, delectable edibles and simply awesome staff.
But the highlight would have to be the view from the loo.. check it out!

Ok so it’s a bloody long way from home, but locals call the area ‘Gods Country’ and I tend to agree.
Guests will love spending the weekend eating, drinking and splashing in the Ovens River… or was that just me?!
Killer views for the ceremony and make sure you try their home-made salami… hooooooly cow!
